Belgrade bombs

Now for a more serious subject... Not to hard after yesterdays lazy workers. Belgrade kept two bomb sites from the NATO bombings not so long ago (1999). I heard many things about those bombings, namely that the European public opinion was manipulated into agreeing with those attacks. And I must say after meeting many Serbs, i find it shocking how the media presented the Serbs as barbarian. I was young don't remember much, certainly not facts but i sure remember associating them with "Bad People" or "Evil"... Anyway, this is not a place of debate i will not state my opignon, birds are singing outside right now and i have other things more interesting to do. I will simply state my opignon witch is that these bombings could have been avoided and that you should never believe what tv tells you (ok gotta trough someting more into that allready burning fire in your head, hehe, do you believe Ingrid Betancourt was simply liberated like they say, picked up by a helicopter in the jungle?? That easy? Maybe? maybe not? Winners write history and we will maybe never know).

Life goes on...

Not so long ago, the people i met lived trough something real harsh and impossible to imagine (seeing a bomb site for real is already something VERY different from seeing it on tv, so i cant imagine what it is to have bombs dropping next to you and your home town going up in flames). And it amazes me how nice, oppen minded, respectful toward foreigners, welcoming and helpfull these very same people are. Thank you! :)
